Does anyone know how SIRs and deposits work for R1 Consortium applicants? Will you need to submit decision deadlines in R1 before you find out about scholarship information, which is released in R2 after the draft. I know that your first ranked school has the opportunity to grant you the scholarship should you be admitted, but how does it work for other schools or if you do not get into your first ranked school?

I know that your first ranked school has the opportunity to grant you the scholarship should you be admitted, but how does it work for other schools or if you do not get into your first ranked school?

As you mentioned: If you apply R1, your #1 school has the opportunity to give you the fellowship in December when you're notified of your admittance. If that #1 school rejects/waitlist you or just accepts you and doesn't give you the fellowship, then you'll have to wait until March to hear your fate post-draft. Please note that the #1 school can accept you NOT give you the fellowship R1 because they want to see the pool of applicants for R2 and see how competitive you are and then come back and offer it to you R2. Since you ranked them #1, they still have that first preference. So, no fellowship R1 from your #1 doesn't mean it cannot happen in R2.

Regarding deposits: most of the schools don't seem to post the dates deposits are due. Tuck specifically does as I've researched this and they give both R1/R2 CGSM applicants until April 28, 2017 to deposit their $2500. Cornell also gives R1/R2 CGSM until April 24, 2017. I could be wrong but I would imagine other schools will be equally as flexible this year.

For R1ers who want to avoid the stresses of this situation please reflect on which school you've developed strongest rapport with and where your stats are very competitive. This will best position you to be selected as a fellowship recipient R1 and you can end the process there. That's personally what I'm hoping for.

Did I miss something or did Darden just add another essay to their section of the application? I don't think it was there before? Now I have to write another essay before the round 1 deadline :(

Is this issue only for Darden? I submitted my consortium application a week ago and I'm really hoping the schools I applied to don't have this issue.

Glad to know I'm not losing my mind! I thought I was all done with essays and went last night for a last check and saw the new Darden essay. Not pleased!

That is tacky. I emailed them about it and will post the response here.

I think it's only Darden but you should be able to check by looking at your submitted application to see if there are any new questions that you didn't answer for the schools that you applied to.

Pretty quiet on this forum. Got an email confirming my mission recommendation was received today even though it was submitted a while back. Now waiting for the consortium to review it and forward it on to my selected member schools.

Same here. I'm pretty excited to get this process started! Good luck to everyone applying this round.

Has anyone had their application forwarded to the schools they applied to yet? I'm hoping this happens pretty quickly as Ross has invites for interview going out next week!

I haven't. Scrolling through last year's Consortium thread makes it look like it can take a week or two.

That's what I noticed as well.

From a previous conversation I had with a representative of the Consortium they mentioned that applications are sent in batches and they are done alphabetically. Hope that helps....

It does, thanks! Alphabetically benefits me haha. I should be in one of the first batches then.

Looking back at last year's thread, it looks like the first applications for Round 1 were released to schools one business day after the deadline. Three business days after the deadline additional applicants reported being forwarded.

Hoping to get the notification for my application soon with Ross releasing interview invites next week!
