I don't believe this was shared previously-- below is last year's CGSM class profile representing all those who applied through CGSM and were accepted to at least one member program. On one of the webinars, CGSM mentioned they had this information publicly available. For anyone that wanted this info, they just needed to email CGSM. Insightful set of stats, to say the least. Ethnicity African American: 48% Hispanic/Latino: 25% American Indian/Alaskan Native: 3% Multiethnic: 5% Asian: 10% White/Caucasian: 8% Hawaiian or Pacific Islander: 1% GPA Average: 3.35 80% Range: 2.89-3.81 GMAT Average: 661 80% Range: 590-720

Wow, that GMAT average really surprises me. That's way below most of the member school averages of 700+.

Does anyone know if UNC will have their Minority Preview weekend this year?

I do not believe they will be having that event this year. It was not featured on the consortium's list of member schools' diversity weekends. I'd recommend reaching out to someone from admissions such as Stephanie Barbee-Williams just to be sure.

For those applying to Darden, did you guys notice that the essays are different for CGSM applicants? Regular applicants Describe the most important professional feedback you have received and how you responded to this feedback. CGSM applicants What is your short-term, post-MBA career goal and why? Tell us what you would want your learning team to know about you. If you could go anywhere in the world with Darden, where would you go, and why? Charlottesville has a renowned film festival, book festival, and vibrant music scene. What is your favorite film, book, or song? I just want to make sure that these four shorter CGSM essay prompts replace, and aren't in addition to, the one essay prompt Darden requires of regular applicants. Any idea?

They replace the regular ones. A lot of the schools have different essay requirements for Consortium applicants.

Thanks Goillini13 ! Good to know other schools switch out essay prompts for CGSM applicants, Darden was the only school on my list to do so.

Anyone else attending Cornell's JMB this year? Got my invite last week. I'll also be attending the Diversity at Darden Open House if anyone is interested in meeting up at either event.
