a/100 *3x = 6y
x = 4y therefore a/100*12y = 6y
a/100 = 6/12 -----> 50%
Hence the answer is option A

Given x = 4y
Multiply 3 on both sides to get
3x = 12y
Now looking at this we can easily say that if 12y is 100% (100/100) of 3x
Therefore 6y will be 50%
