Hi Guys,

I have a GMAT of 620 with 4.5 years of work experience in Software Industry.
I'm applying for fall'18 FT MBA. The final deadline is mentioned as April 11. Should I go for a retake to improve score or apply rightaway as admission is a rolling process.
I'm an International applicant from India.
Please advise.

I suggest you to apply as the average gmat score for full time MBA program is around 619 only. Also it is the overall profile that matters. Well structured SOP and strong LOR’s will help a lot.

I feel I will not be the right person to suggest you about other colleges or universities since I applied only to Alberta business school. I applied to ABS because I wanted a program with balanced ranking, not much high tuition fees and small class size.

My personal opinion is that it is your permutations and combinations for university and college selection. It totally depends upon your choices and inclination for other factors such as ranking, fees, location, course length, batch size etcetera.

Calgary and Toronto have some good IT companies. There can be other locations also.You can look for some universities there also such as university of Calgary, the renowned university of Toronto(they say they don't have any minimum gmat score requirement )

But certainly, u can apply to Sauder but they have sectional as well as total GMAT score requirement.

What happens after the original transcripts reach the university? What is the next stage. Mine reached the University on Feb 21 (checked via FedEx) and still there are no updates from the University. Is there anyone in this stage of the process?

I've been awaiting their results as well, haven't received any updates. Their portal does mention a couple of required items but they aren't really applicable to me. Do we need to get that counter to 0 ?

I have received an offer letter from Ted Rogers Ryerson for MBA and am awaiting offer letter from Alberta Business School (My application has been forwarded to the FGSR). I have a deadline to accept offer from Ted Rogers by 23rd March 2018. I have the following concerns:
1. If I were to compare both the above mentioned business schools, which stands better in respect to employment opportunities in the consulting domain after graduation? Ted Rogers being in Toronto and Alberta Business School being in Edmonton, Alberta. Overall, which has better prospects including the location?
2. Ted Rogers has 16 month FT MBA course whereas Alberta Business School has 20 months FT MBA course. How does length of course make a difference and does the length of study really matter in respect to my first concern?
3. Lastly, do companies really look at which business school have I graduated from, if I am looking for internships or FT work after study.

(I have 5 years of experience in consulting and automation)

I have got a conditional admission on the submission of my mark sheets on my bear tracks account. It doesn't state much detail nor it has a complete offer letter. Could anyone suggest what should be the next step? In details, it mention "You are NOT required to send any official documents by mail until you receive an Offer of Admission from us, unless instructed otherwise by the department. The due date for required documents will be included in your Offer of Admission." but there is no offer letter sent to me.
Please help!
