Hello All,
Got 750 (Q-50, V-42), but 4 in AWA. More than the score, its the low percentile (18%) which is a concern.
I am applying to Kellogg, Booth and Sloan in R1. How will Ad-Coms perceive this ?
Is it worth requesting a re-score of my essays ? Have there been instances of increased AWA score ? How long does it take for the scores to be re-evaluated ?
Finally, is it worth retaking the GMAT again ?
Appreciate any help on this.

Not worth it, just write really good essays. 4/6 isn't a terrible AWA score so don't worry too much about it. If it were 2 or 3 then i'd be worried but you're fine. Congrats on the 750.

Absolutely not a problem and congratulations on that score. Are you actually planning to apply round one this year? By all means you need to focus on those essays. The entire application is a great way to demonstrate your writing skills. I don't want to see you rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic here, focus on the essays School research things that are more in controllable. If your application is not compelling it doesn't matter what score you get. If you haven't put adequate effort into the applications yet I really recommend that you wait till around 2. Or next year. GMAT is necessary but by all means not sufficient.
