Since I have been receiving some queries regarding Profile evaluation , here are my 2 cents for all.
1)There is no Ideal Profile to target. Each profile is unique.
2)GMAT is not a deal maker or deal breaker. Having said that going by past trends , a GMAT score of 680 and above is generally safe to get an interview call. People have made it with as low as 600-620 as well but the chances decrease as you go towards 600.
2)Be honest in what you write in your application. You have to defend this later in your interview :-)
3)Focus on leadership attributes in your work description section in the application. As you will learn later at IIM A , Leadership is about taking initiatives and has nothing to do with your job designation :-)
4)Use bullet points for your job description
5)Extracurricular activities are not deal breakers. If you do not have anything significant do not worry.
6)Start reading current affairs. You will need it during the extempore in the interview.
7)Think about how you can connect your past experience , MBA learning and post mba goals together

how do you know it was 100 last time? btw I have heard of something like 80 out of total 140 seats

I know (having been in that situation) that it is very difficult to keep this thoughts out of the mind :-)
But the number is completely dynamic and depends on the quality of the R1 applicants. If there are many good candidates the number might go up to 100 but if not it might also go down to below 80 with more people in Waitlist.

Are there any interviews left to happen? The Skype interviews with overseas candidates was originally scheduled for 12th October but I believe it happened a week earlier on 5th October. Is there a possibility of the results being declared earlier than 21st?

Hello everyone

I'm Avnish Thakkar.

I had scored 77% in 10th, 72% in 12th.

I was able to score 6.75 CPI in my Bachelor's of Mechatronics engineering from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat.

I was placed with Aerospace and defence business of Larsen & Toubro Ltd. For 4.5 yrs I have worked as Project Management and on-site commissioning professional on ISRO's projects. Since last 3.75 yrs I have been working as Manufacturing professional for BrahMos missiles systems. In sum I have experience of 8 yrs and 2 months for Aerospace and defence industry. My present designation is Manager, Advanced Composite Production.

I have done diploma in performing arts, Drama from Maharaj Sayaji Rao University, Gujarat.

I have recently scored 317 in GRE. 320 was last year average.

I'm interested in fine tuning my business acumen, with this course. Want to use those skills to make India's Aerospace and Defence sector self reliant.

Can you please help me to assess the profile?

I think all the R1 applicants can only access the link from the email we got during the shortlisting.
But this wait is very anxious and I hope this doesn't extend till the actual planned date (10/21)

Going by the past history of the result's announcement per se, I sense the R1 results shall be out in the coming few days and hopefully before 21/10.
Also, spoke to the admission's office today. They said they are in the final phase of finalising the list and will email the successful candidates.
BTW the program login link is active and it just took me to the interview confirmation window. So, no updates from there as of now.
