Wait so just so im clear...
1) you will not be provided a score at the end of the test - got that part
2) you wont see your score until 7 days later...? can you cancel the test at that point? is it a fixed score?

Do you cannot cancel it at that point.

If you decide not to send the scores to any schools, will they still see the online GMAT if we decide to take the in person GMAT when the center opens again? I have a few official scores so I was wondering if this score would make it on the score report.

Guys, lets be optimistic: when, at Business School, GMAC is brought into debate as an example of how a bad decision can ruin your business and boost your competitor, we will all have first hand information.

GMAC, please take note and allow erasable whiteboards!!

The online Whiteboard sample is available. Here is how the whiteboard will look like.

Lol..In the name of online whiteboard, GMAC is letting us use more a.k.a useless options ( fill color, choose color, stroke color, background color) but stealing basic requirement of scratch board and erasable black pen option from test takers.

It is gmat exam or Drawing exam !!!!

This has no reference one way or another but I think a lot of things are not given a reference such as - will questions still have 5 answer choices (which they will) and that leads me to conclude the Online version will be treated as all other exams and the score will be listed on the score report just like any other GMAT Score (while missing AWA)

They have dropped AWA so that they could instead evaluate artistic abilities ;)
Both are very important for leadership!

I'm feeling very anxious about using the online whiteboard instead of pen + paper - does anyone know of any sample online whiteboards which I could practice with? To me, the use of an online whiteboard feels like a disadvantage and that I may spend extra time figuring out how to use it. Any advice would be much appreciated!

I have a question.

bb Did I read correctly that there will be no break allowed between Quant and Verbal section??
If it is correct, this is a really big disadvantage.

It does not look the same as this one, but someone suggested https://app.ziteboard.com/ as a tool to try online whiteboarding.... but the GUI looks completely different.

That's how I am reading it - NO BREAK between Quant and Verbal.

My understanding is that this is to minimize people's ability to walk into a bathroom/closet and save/write down questions they saw on the exam. This way they would be less likely to still remember/memorize questions if they do Verbal after Quant or remember them no better than they would at a test center.

I couldn't agree more with the dozens of complaints against the ridiculous online whiteboard.

Practicing quant using a similar program to their whiteboard made each problem take much longer to solve, I made silly mistakes, and I was more focused on drawing legible numbers than what the problem was asking.

This doesn't seem to be a feasible or fair solution and by not allowing for a physical solution puts GRE test takers at an unfair online test advantage.

I find it very unfair that we will be forced to use an online whiteboard instead of an actual whiteboard or erasable pad. The GRE is allowing whiteboards online - why should we be forced to figure out a new system? This puts online test takers at a severe disadvantage. This is a time constrained test, and many test takers already struggle with time. Now I have to use a trackpad or mouse to draw, which will inevitable take longer than writing by hand, something that all other GMAT testers before us were allowed to do? What is the use in this? It doesn't make sense and it is NOT fair.

I hope that others studying for the GMAT are outraged about this and that they petition GMAC for the use of actual white boards.

Not to mention they don't tell us our scores immediately and let us cancel...

How is this equitable?!

Good question, here is a whiteboard tool that I've used for tutoring and recommend: https://app.ziteboard.com/

This online whiteboard thing is ridiculous for quant. Why can't we:
a) have erasable board
b) have regular pen and paper and send them a snapshots of what we wrote at the end of the quant section.

I think the online whiteboard might work for verbal, but for quant?!

The whiteboard is ridiculous. Its quite hard to manage time while using a whiteboard.
Also, Its how accustomed we're with a scratch paper.
I think it will be suitable for someone who is used to using less paper. And does most calculation in the head.
