No access to a scratchpad is a major handicap in the online exam and also 2 hrs without a break and access to drinking water is inhuman.

I think you're allowed to have a glass with clear fluid (vodka?) at your table, but thats it.

It takes 7 days to get the unofficial score.

The first time you will ever see any kind of a numeric score will be in seven days. Does that answer your question?

P S Since there is no AWA, both official and unofficial score will be available at the same time after seven days.

alexmeier1899
Important question: It says we will get our scores within 7 business days right?
Does this refer to the unofficial score which one can use to apply to universities or will I receive such an "unofficial score card" right after finishing the exam??
This will influence which date I choose for the online exam..

Can someone please make a change.org petition to at LEAST allow whiteboard usage on this exam? I hope schools consider not even evaluating GMATs as a result. This is a joke and a money-grab. Even with conceptual "math" problems, you still need to write out cases.

Does anyone have any insights or thoughts on the below?
1. If you get a low score on this online version and then re-take it in person to get a higher score, will this online score be available to schools even if you decide not to send it? Unclear to me what they mean by saying that it is not possible to cancel the score
2. How quickly after could you re-take the GMAT in person granted the test centers are open? Unclear to me whether the normal 16-day "freeze" period applies after taking it online

Thanks!

Wow this is definitely a step back and an unpleasant surprise. At the same time, this is how GMAT used to be five years ago. You could never preview your score and you could never cancel it after seeing the score.

PS. I will inquire about cancellations specifically and directly with GMAC. There is a general webinar on the 17th but I’ll see if I can get the answers ahead of time.

Keep in mind that with the GMAT™ Online exam currently there is not an opportunity to preview your unofficial score at the end of your exam. So, if you are unsure, you can wait to select programs until after receiving your official score report via email.

Your official score will be sent to you via email (to the email on your registration record) within 7 business days of completing your exam.

We cannot view our scores?
Yes, of course you can view your scores--it's just that you won't have a chance to "preview" your scores before you decide to cancel them or not.

This is just GMAC's roundabout way of saying that GMAT Online scores cannot be canceled, except in the case of verified technical issues.

I still can't get over the shock. I presume I join a long list. I need your help BB.

1) Can you please ask your connections at GMAC whether tablets ( IPAD ) would be allowed and whether we can use a pencil ( stylus )?

2) Do you think people should look at GRE in the meantime? I know there are posts. But, your opinion or any of the experts could really provide solid feedback?

3) When do you expect this **** to end? Is there a possibility that the GMAC could open centers before June 15?

The question is of eminent value. .A bitcoin for your thoughts please ,Bb

Well thanks, that's a relief . Forget bitcoins, I don't even have pennies.

So when I wake up tomorrow should I solve SC questions on Gmatclub which Inhabe been solving for a while or try explore GRE :/

Guess I am just gonna read a book called 10 day MBA- atleast it doesn't require me to study for an exam so that I can study more for 2 years :/

Same issue with the country code, I was able to register for the normal exam before, and there is nothing wrong with my phone country code (maybe they only allow USA or CAD so far? I'm from Spain).

After reading all the information they just posted I do not think it is advisable to take it unless they have a specific grading/questions for this online version.
On screen whiteboard is as good as using your brain alone, moreover when no touchscreens, etc are allowed (for the ones asking before, laptop with touchscreen probably is not allowed, neither to connect an iPad or anything else).

Lets see what they say on Friday, but I'm glad that some schools consider not requiring GMAT with these conditions, probably they could give a test of their own more suitable.

Regards,
Pablo

Thank you! Once someone has taken the exam it would be useful to understand if it will cover the whole screen or if you could take notes while seeing the questions

The link is here if someone wants to check it out.

https://home.pearsonvue.com/op/online-p ... d-overview

We gotta click on an icon to open the whiteboard page, which means when we open the whiteboard we no longer can see the question? A total joke if that is the case.

This is being handled so poorly by GMAC. They didn't even take the time to consider candidates with extra time accommodations. SMH. Given all of the constraints and nuances associated with taking this from home, I'm 100% skipping out on this "opportunity" if you even want to call it that, and waiting until the testing centers open back up. They had me at no writing. This is a joke of an exam.
