Hi guys, Need suggestion regarding ISB, I was planning to apply in R2 and given GMAT recently and score 640. Is it better to write GMAT again and apply in R3 or wait for Next year to apply in R1.

profile: 50 months experience in Automobile;GPA:4

Have you been scoring significantly higher on practice test and just had a bad test day? In that case, take it again soon and apply in R3.

If you genuinely feel you need time to improve, or work on your strategy, then take your time and apply in R1 next year. I would prefer this as you won't be putting high pressure in yourself.

It also depends on whether you're ok with starting your MBA in 2023, and whether you can make a good case for academic capability despite your GMAT score (you already have a good GPA, maybe you also have other professional certifications, or other exceptional achievements)

Hope this helps!

Hi Guys, had a quick question. I am a CA+ CS with 4.5 years of big4 consulting experience. I am applying in R2 and under short term goals have mentioned that I want to move to industry in finance / strategy role. Just to ensure that I do not leave any loose ends, i wanted to understand the companies which come for such roles in ISB. Any suggestion from where can i get such insights ?

guys, I’ve written that I’m familiar with French and German in my resume. I’ve my interview on sunday. I’m a bit rusty on both fronts. I can have conversations but just the basic ones, is that something I should worry about and prepare for?

Well basic conversation should be fine to prove “familiarity”

I don’t think the interviewers will ask for actual proof or stuff :

Hi, i had the same in my application because I had done 2 courses in my college
They mentioned this in my interview and asked me if I was fluent. I honestly told them I am not fluent and I have been out of practice from a long time. I did these courses because I’m interested in etymology and different languages. They didn’t take this negatively at all.

Few folks received invites for Sunday around noon today! Ideally, no more for this week considering prep time!

I see those who are interviewed recently most of them received results but I was interviewed on 31st October and still waiting for the result.

May I know is anyone also waiting for results who interviewed in October.
