I submitted my application on Jan 3 for Round 3.
I feel my GMAT score might be a deal-breaker. I just hope they see my overall work experience of 5 years at the investment banking firm as something worthy enough to be called for an interview.
Best of luck everyone.
Hi,
i have been a silent observer for a while, so thought ill put out my experience also up here, in case it helps..
I applied in R1 this year and got an admit in mid December..
Profile:
Commerce Grad (Lady Shri Ram - Delhi University)
Work ex - 4 years IT Consulting, Big 4
GMAT: 690 (Q47, V38)
Interview - October. 3 panelist, all alums. Interview was on the lines of my application and work ex mostly..
@Jammer - Even i thought my GMAT is low and would be a deal breaker, but i made it, so i guess, keep your spirits high.. GMAT is just a part of the whole package.. they look for well rounded personalities..
I used an alum's help for my application and interview and that I think was a huge difference. My friends who were in the same boat as me, used some established b-school application guidance consultants and din get 1/10th of the time and attention that I got from the alum directly.. it was a good confidence booster. he was referred to me by another applicant, who also made it thankfully, to the new batch..
