Yes, ESPECIALLY if you have only taken it once. I would keep a running list of everything you accomplish or are involved in (personal, professional, volunteer) since you submitted. They may provide you with an opportunity to submit a brief update before they reevaluate your materials alongside Round 2 applicants.

Best of luck!

aloyv
deferred to 2nd round. should I retake my gmat (currently it is 710)?

Michelesaragat, BigOhl, aloyv, I have created a group (HBS - Further Consideration). We can use this group maybe to discuss about what the next steps could be.

Hey Folks, I applied last year in R1 and was waitlisted - Further Consideration. Later in Dec they asked me to submit an update on my candidacy, if anything had changed profesionally or personally. I drafted a short response for it highlighting my recent promotion, some thought-leadership in my industry and some personal insights into my marriage life which had just started as I had filed my R1 application. Apparently they liked it and bumped me up to a confirmed interview along with R2 decisions.

If you folks need any specific help with this do contact me on chat.

Guys, a question. My wife got an interview invite, but I didn’t. Does anyone know whether HBS considers at all the "couples" application? Because it sure seems like it didn’t weight in the decision. This is a "post mortem", of course. Nothing to do now.

Good question! We have a YouTube session on HBS interviews today (starts in 30 mins to be precise) and you are welcome to ask this question there. Even if you are unable to join, I will ensure our team asks this question. :)

Hi - My husband got interview invite last year but I didnt get any. In our experience, I doubt that HBS considers any "couples" angle to our applications... I think they mostly evaluate individual applications irrespective of your partners applying together or not
