“Just an FYI that the admissions committee member at yesterday’s Yale SOM event mentioned that they are short staffed this year and interview invites this year could even go out on weeks 10-11 or into March. Some hope for those waiting.”
Some helpful insight for those who have an upcoming interview:
"The interviews themselves are 30 minutes in length and structured in format – every interviewee receives the same questions in the same order. Research consistently shows that structured interviews are far more predictive than unstructured ones, which is why we adopted this format many years ago. Interviewers also use a highly structured rubric in evaluating candidates, to heighten inter-rater consistency, decrease bias, and increase the fairness of the process."
I love that they have taken an active effort to reduce bias and increase fairness
