I applied for J-term on 19 Aug, but haven’t heard anything until now. In the other hand, I have deferred offer from 2021 intake from another school that I need to reply within the next few days.

Do you guys think it will be wise to email Columbia Adcom asking about my application status and mentioning about that other offer?

I’m assuming that you can’t request an extension from the other school. If that’s the case…

I think it’s a good idea, and I highly doubt you would have your chances hurt by being diligent. You can express in the email that CBS is your #1 choice, but you’re approaching a deadline from your second choice school. Your concern is that if you’re not admitted to CBS, you’re now in a situation where you cannot go to biz school period (unless of course it’s CBS or bust). You can then respectfully request an update as when you might receive a decision. It’s all in the wording…

Include the deadline that you’re up against.

Supposed to be within 2 weeks. I think CBS will send a reminder if it hasn’t been done by then. Did you log back on after to send them the feedback upload link?

After the completion of scheduling the interview, I received the following email.

"Submitting this form will complete your interview scheduling process. An automatic email will be sent to the Ambassador confirming the time and date of the interview along with a link that will allow them to enter their feedback."

But I think they render a final decision within two weeks of the interview report being completed and feedback should not be completed within two weeks.

Yeah that’s the form you have to submit. I actually forgot to do that… I did it after my interview.

You’re right about the rendering of the decision within 2 weeks of feedback being uploaded. However, I could have sworn I also read that the ambassador should submit his feedback within 2 weeks (i.e. don’t panic or email the school unless it’s been more than 2 weeks). If I can find that verbiage again I’ll post it here. FWIW, it varies a lot. On this board, I’ve seen feedback uploaded the same day. For me, my interviewer said same day or next day - but it was actually about a week.
