Hey guys,

Clearadmit posted Columbia 2023 class profile, I'm guessing that meant they've stopped sending out interviews? I applied for J-term on Oct 4 and recommendation letter was sent on Oct 8, still waiting to hear back but I'm losing hope...

Hi I’m in the same boat . Before I submitted my application in early October, I wasn’t sure if it would be too late to apply for j term and they informed me via email that MANY j term hopefuls would apply on the deadline and there were MANY spots left. I’m sure they are still powering through a swarm of applications that were submitted towards the deadline so I wouldn’t lose hope yet :)

Anyone who submitted application near deadline for J-term has received interview invite? International student.

i have a hunch that over 90% OF J-Term students have obtained admission. If you haven’t interviewed at this point, then I am afraid you may have been dinged.

Do j term students hear sooner after the interview feedback? like within a week or so?

Columbia typically sends decisions 2 weeks from when your interviewer submits his/her report to the Adcom.

For Aug 2022 (not the jan term)
Early decision applications will be reviewed by nov end and then they start with their regular applications.
So there is still very high probability that some of us may end up receiving interview invitation.
Btw one question- to those already done with their interviews..can u confirm if they update the same via email or its a portal update only for interviews?

They will send you an email invitation with a link to the application portal that reveals who your interviewer will be.

Can anyone please provide suggestions on how to fill the financial support section of the application form from an international applicant point of view? How much should we typically have as the remainder amount for First Year? What's the typical range for a reasonable loan amount?
