Hi everyone,
Re: English Language waiver
My background:
I have a 4-year bachelor's degree (2010-2014) delivered in the English language.
From 2014 till the present, I have been working in a professional environment with English as the only medium of communication.
I read all the comments above and had a question about the English language waiver but am still not clear on what path everybody is taking in lieu of the changed requirements since last year.
I somehow missed the "majority English-speaking country" part in the professional waiver section and haven't given the TOEFL/IELTS yet. (Had my documents ready for Oct 13 deadline.
I reached out to Adcom and got a generic reply as on the website for professional waiver.
Can someone please guide me on what should be my next step?
1) Should I give a home TOEFL iBT on 9-10th October? I know it is going to be really tough to ace in such a short amount of time but even if I do, is it okay that the official report would reach later? Will that be a problem?
2) Should I just select the professional waiver option and let the Adcom get back to me if the test is required? Will I be rejected rightaway just because I do not meet the waiver requirements?
3) Should I apply in the next round?
Any help is appreciated! Thank you!
