I applied last cycle in R3 and the offer letter were given about 1-2 weeks after the interview. However, I’m not sure about R1
Applying again this year?
Yes. Let’s see what happens this time

can we apply with unofficial gmat scorecard for ISB- round 2. That is if i give my exam a couple of days prior to the deadline (Nov 24-25). Or do i have to tke gmat 21 days prior to the deadline (the max time to recieve an official scorecard). Really stressed out with the timelines and any response will be very much appreciated. Thanks!
Please note that if you take online GMAT you might not have an unofficial score immediately. Just a screenshot at the end of your exam . Most of 700+ scores in online GMAT get flagged for administrative review. Mine was under review for 18 days. So a test centre GMAT would be your best bet at such short notice.

I don’t think so. Someone else can confirm or deny this!

In one admission cycle, you can only apply once i.e Either in R1 or R2 or R3. That’s why everyone says to put your application once you are ready otherwise everyone will keep on trying in each cycle. Right ?

Is the rule of applying only once in a season holds true for IIM also.

It is true for B and C. A lets you apply in all 3 rounds.

Looking at the history of ISB, approx number of PI scheduled dates and the info AdCom gave in her interviews, I think this is going to be the scenario for R1.
No. of Admits in R1 = 350-400
No. of people to be interviewed in R1 = 1600 (16-17 days X 90-100 nos.)
Date of Result = 18th Nov
Approx 50 will reject the offer as they would be getting other admission offers as well

And approximately, how many people apply in R1?
   1  ...  77   78   79   80   81  ...  388
