I applied in R2 and I got an email in the first week of Jan that I have been selected for the interview and that the interview date would be communicated 3-5 days before the interview. But I haven't got any communication after that, is it normal?

what's your city of preference for interview?

Hyderabad

I guess you will get a call for 4th Feb.

Anyone from R1 who’s interview didn’t go well but got admitted basis other strengths in the application? I’d love some more insights on interview weightage. Posted from my mobile device
Interview is an important part (make or break). You cannot make it to isb, if your interview don’t go well. Yes, for some candidates interview didn’t went well but there will be something which interviewer liked and recommended to isb.. its just in your head that interview didn’t went well but you never know

Can someone advise me on which school to choose? ISB vs Nanyang Business School (NTU)? Posted from my mobile device
Depends lot on your post mba goals. We have lot of folks from R1 who are choosing isb over us bschools like tuck, darden, anderson. So it depends on your post mba goals

Guys, what is the approximate duration of the entire ISB interview process including the waiting time? I am asking because I have to report for another interview in 2.5hrs at a different location 10kms away.
Time varies, you can consider +1hr. But it should be around the same time which is mentioned on the portal.

Total interview duration will be 30-35 mins (most of the cases )

Will the results for R2 come on 15th feb or can it come before as well?
It should come on 15th because for R1, it came on the same day as mentioned on the portal

I was looking at NUS & NTU prior to applying to ISB. As per my research and talking to people..consulting landscape in Singapore didnt seem very promising to me

Especially compared to ISB

Having said that...NTU and NUS are fairly decent recognised schools in India and with good experience of 3-4 years you should be placed well in india

I was mainly asked profile based questions. Started with introducing oneself, current job profile, how you add to what you do, future goals and what if it doesn't come to fruition, how will you add to the cohort, there will be a lot of engineers with conventionally stellar profiles vying for the jobs you want, how you'll comepte? Future of the industry i work in. A bit on hobbies and then what do you want to ask us. Interview lasted about 40 minutes

I think it depends on panel to panel. Mine was probing. Panel came to receive me in waiting area 25 mins prior to the interview, thank god i reached 30 mins before. As soon as I entered, they both asked me my about why i want to do mba from ISB? since I am already a management consultant at one of big 4s. this conversation went on for 20 mins, they asked me very in depth questions on my motivation. However, I stood my ground till end. Then we moved to my extra curriculars. Concluded interview 35 mins.

My only advice would, think of all possible questions on Why mba? why ISB?

Feels like crazy good, just saved 5000 bucks.

I was earlier applying for the round 2 at ISB but couldn’t due to some glitches, but it turned out to be such a blessing coz earlier it was 7500 INR, but due to some special offer it is now 2500 only.

Even if I don’t get in, I’m surely partying with these 5000 bucks.
