I think the most of the bschools outsource the background verification process to some other companies. Does anyone know which company LBS uses for the background verification?

If I know an alumni who can send a recommendation, how can I generate a link now for them to fill this up after my application is submitted? Would be great to know

You will have to reach out to the adcom and they will send the link to the alumni

I would recommend the following 2 steps in this case: 1. Ask the alumni to send an email to the admissions team, that he/she wants to write a recommendation for an applicant, they will send a link to the individual to fulfil 2. Once the alumni submits the recommendation, the applicant should also send a separate email to the admissions team, mentioning that the said alumni has submitted a recommendation for you, and request the admissions committee to consider the same against your application.

Hi Elite097 , I guess you're referring to the separate (and optional) alumni recommendation, i.e. not the official recommendation letter that needs to be submitted along with your application. It's never a requirement and plenty of (or most) applicants get accepted without the endorsement of an alum. But schools, including LBS, appreciate very much when an alum endorses or expresses support for an applicant. But the alum needs to know you somewhat well in order for his/her support to be of value. I gave my online GMAT exam on 1st Jan and submitted my unofficial score (with screenshot of email from GMAC of me completing my exam) with my application at LBS and got an email two days back regarding the availability of my official score report. If someone from LBS is asking for my official score, is it part of the official procedure that they do with everyone or does it mean that they find my profile interesting and do not want any loose ends?
