Hello guys,

I prepared for last 6 months and gave tests from gmat official prep . Got 700 (Q47 V38) on 1st practice test and 680 (Q47 V35) on 2nd test. However, when i gave GMAT on 3rd sep, i just got 600 (Q47 V25) .

Mainly because in last 10 minutes i had to do more than 20 ques of verbal because i am too slow in verbal .
should i retake exam before application deadline which is 18 october or just go ahead with 600 score ? Avg GMAT of the b school i am applying is 640 as they mentioned in brochure

Hi, a score that low on verbal suggests a weak foundation - I would watch GMAT Ninja on youtube

Gmat club question bank consists of questions from almost every prep company. You might want to filter there.

Hi

These are my practice test scores

2 - 710 Q49 V38 - 26th Aug
3 - 730 Q51 V37 - 28th Aug
4 - 720 Q49 V40 - 1st Sep
5 - 740 Q49 V42 - 4th Sep
6 - 710 Q49 V38 - 6th Sep

any suggestions? I have my exam on the 8th

I have been missing Q51 due to some very silly mistakes like calculation error or missing one small question detail. I know the concepts and everything well

I need a 730 on the actual test

Your Verbal has the most variance. I would suggest getting as much verbal prep in as possible, as even a slight increase in verbal would greatly boost your score

you can take a GMAT prep - it will give you a very precise picture of where you stand and a very precise flavor for the questions you can expect. I think it is not too much of a waste to take a GMAT Focus GMAT Prep Test (you can take quite a few after resetting before you run into repeat questions)

Is it a good idea to switch to focus edition after studying for GMAT old edition for past 3-4 months?

Any reason you have not taken a focus practice test to compare your performance and the two tests? That seems like it would be a way to answer the question potentially.

Guys, I read that in case of discrepancies between GMAT sections GMAC could cancel the online test scores. These are my results:
Q44 (low)
V 47 (impressive, lot of luck)
IR 6
Do you think this might be the case? My exam was flagged for administrative review.
I’m freaking out.
I really hope that since even IR is low they’ll think I’m not good with numbers.
I know it’s totally unbalanced, but in my practice exams my average Q was 48.

I think it’s also a matter of luck

Calling BS on this “discrepancies” information. This is not accurate.

That happens every day. Every single day an international candidate texted GMAT and has a discrepancy between the Quant and Verbal. This is BS.

There weren’t other issues during the exam, exception made for 2 times when the proctor said to correct my posture to avoid going out from the frame

do you think I should be worried?
