I took the GMAT and scored a 680 after several trials 2 years ago, even though I know that isn't representative of my true ability. So I studied for the GRE and took the exam last week. Score details:
GMAT: 680 (Q47, V38, 8/8 IR, 6/6 AWA) -- 2020
GRE: 324 (Q164 and V160) -- 2023
Should I submit just the GRE or both GRE and the GMAT? I’ve been getting feedback that it might be right to submit both; however, I’m worried since my GMAT is not very ideal. The only reason I invested so much time and effort in the GRE was to let go of the GMAT score.
amk833We recommend that you submit both scores. Your GMAT score, while not as high as your GRE score, does have perfect scores in the IR and AWA sections, which can showcase your strengths to admissions committees. Schools evaluate candidates holistically, taking into account academic and professional background, ability to clearly articulate goals and motivation for the program and school, leadership potential, personal qualities, and overall fit with the program.
