In other words, say I will have left a previous company but keep a very positive, harmonious relationship with a previous employer by the time I am ready for my application? If I have worked there within the past year (at the date of application), will the LOR still be okay?
Absolutely, should be fine. This seems recent.

Hello everyone, I am a recent admit at Stanford. I am based out of India and have 5 years of experience in technology operations. I applied through the GRE in Round 2. I have been in your shoes literally a few months back, happy to answer any questions regarding applications/ GMAT/GRE or anything that comes to your mind.
Hello there, I am from India and have 8+ yrs of experience in a non-tech role (PM II). Any chance the GMAT score expectation is slightly lower than 750+?

There are a lot of counselling/consulting services available with price ranging from 2000$ to 10000$.
How did the students who made it Stanford decide which counsellor to go with ?
What parameters did you use?
Do you have any recommendations?
Also how many colleges do you think one should apply to?
Would prefer if someone from Indian background could answer as I have the same.

Look at the average scores of the entering class and try to remain around it. Your GMAT score is only a confidence to the adcom of handling the academic rigour of the program which can also be illustrated through undergrad GPA/ CFA/ CPA etc certifications or if your job involves a quant context. This will not make/ break your application

Hey there! Congratulations :) Can you help with the scholarship options at Stanford? How much do we get in average and what is the criteria?

sasha, with 8 years of experience, you can also consider the MSx program. The application requirements for both MSx and MBA are exactly the same but the GMAT requirement is less stringent for MSx. Just something for you to consider

Valid questions. The whole admissions consultant selection process is hectic/ time-consuming and involves too much $$. If you have friends/ colleagues who have an experience of applying, I feel they are better suited to review your drafts. If you want structure to your prep and apps, go for a consultant. I applied independently to Stanford. Talk to consultants and see if somebody matches your expectations.

Thank you both for taking the time to answer our questions! I’m a dual-degree student (not from Stanford) looking to apply to the GSB MBA program. Do you know if there are ways to get connected with other dual-degree GSB students?

Stanford is completely need based. Your scholarship is determined by your financials rather than any other factors. They also launched a Bold Students scholarship worth $15000 which requires a seperate essay after you are admitted

Hi Gustavo, nice to e-meet you! I’d love to share more about the tips for MBA/MSx application requirements. You can reach me at [email protected]. You are definitely on the right thought process as GSB essays require a lot of self reflection and I’d say they are the one of the most important aspects of your application. I’d strongly recommend to think hard on why you want to pursue an MBA based on your personal background and see how it ties to what GSB offers to help you achieve your goals

Hello @eligold, what was your GRE score? and from whom all did you get LoRs from?
I was near around the average score published by the adcom. It does not matter who you take recommendation from, what matters is what they say about you.

Yes. I know one student doing GSB MBA & Harvard MPA. Is this the kind of contact you are looking for?
