Hello Everyone, Penned down a Broad summary of the interview experience of some of the applicants whom we helped and who had interviews over this weekend. 1. Lot of emphasis on the career trajectory and choices made till now and rationale behind them. 2. Nitty gritty of essays were asked. Applicants were asked to describe the WHY behind the WHAT. 3. Level of understanding of the post MBA career goal was gauged. 4. Details of the EC position of responsibility mentioned in the application form. 5. How do you plan to address the weaknesses during your time at ISB 6. Decision making for a hypothetical situation and underlying thought process behind the decisions. 7. Nature of interaction with ISB alum (for someone who mentioned an alum’s name in one of the essays / how did you come to know about ISB field in the application form). 8. Details of Leadership instances for applicants who had less than 2 years of professional work experience 9. One random thing about you that is not mentioned in the application form. Note: This is a broad summary based on interview experience of 8 applicants and might not capture micro level nuances. Hence, would recommend to take it with a pinch of salt. Please ignore the grammatical errors / typos and focus more on the messaging from the above pointers. Hopefully this will be useful for applicants who have their interviews in the coming weeks. I think they will send second set of interview shortlist before announcing the dates.

Here are the details we’ve received as alums to block time. Note: this is not from admissions team yet but should give you an idea. Of course, I won’t opt for taking interviews due to conflict of interest

Hyd- 30th September, 1st October, 15th October NCR- 30th September, 1st October Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata- 7th-8th Oct Online- 14th October I’m hope there would be more slots later since they can’t posssibly wrap-up in 2 weeks. Your interview would either be in your preferred location that you would’ve selected at the time of application OR online.

Hi @manas4G Can you kindly crosscheck with Mumbai alumni if possible ?

This is what I have gathered so far based on information from various sources.
Before reading through, please understand that this is WHAT I HAVE UNDERSTOOD about the process. I may or may not be right.

All profiles are divided into 4 buckets. (Nomenclature should be ignored, focus on the Idea)

B1 : Elites. Tier 1 College; Top Firms; Stellar GMAT => Call for Interviews. (I believe these were amongst the first ones who got called for Interviews)

B2 : Diversity candidates => Call for Interview (These were also called for interviews as part of the first wind)

B3 : Pool applicants; some spike of sort but overall a general candidate (ex : Indian IT Male); Kept aside to be decided upon later (These will be sorted based on some score and will soon get calls. Ratio will be hella skewed)

B4 : General pool applicant; No spike (Reject)

Now, I think they got through the first and second buckets and sent them the shortlist mails since they are no brainers for ISB. Most of them WILL convert.

Whoever’s left is in either of the other two buckets and stands a lesser chance of being shortlisted. Those shortlisted would again have a roughly 50 percent chance of converting.

I can’t say this enough, this is based on what I have understood and pieced together based on information from various sources(Consultants, Alums, Rejected candidates etc).

I hope this helps whoever is looking for clarity.
