Both swan AND heron = .2 * .35 = .07
Since the probability of seeing a swan is .35, the probability of not seeing a swan is 1-.35= .65.
Likewise, the probability of not seeing a heron is 1-.2= .8
So, not swan AND not heron is .65 * .8 = .52

Probability for independent events is - P(A)xP(B)
So, for both events to occur - .2x.35 = .07
for neither of the event to occur = .8x.65 = .52
So, for both events to occur - .2x.35 = .07
for neither of the event to occur = .8x.65 = .52
