Seems this is just for the interview waivers? This wasn’t a huge benefit to start with. Most people had to interview.... 😞 But still not a great development

Now after getting h-1B if you go back to home country you need to book a new consular appointment once and get it stamped which if embassy wait times are long could lead to job loss so you're essentially stuck in USA now is how I interpret it unless your company can wait a year given wait times in India or a few months is pakistan There also planning to scrap 3 years on OPT with 2 years max for MBA students so I guess two tries at H1B then 3 Or 1 if like most companies they wait 1 year to see performance before applying for H1B but that proposal is still not confirmed
