Has anyone heard of someone being accepted without a community interview?

By “community interview,” I am referring to the interview conducted by a person i.e. not the KIRA interview Has anyone heard of someone getting in without being interviewed by an actual person associated with the Rice MBA program?

Dont believe so. I think they're doing rolling interviews in batches

I completed my kira on tuesday, and haven't received an interview invite yet, but my portal says "awaiting decision". Is that a bad sign?

Awaiting decision on your portal essentially implies that your application is now complete after you've submitted the video interview

That's what it seems, but why is it complete given that I haven't done the actual interview? Do they not want to hear from me anymore haha

Nah nothing like that haha, complete just means they have all the documents they need from you to evaluate your application, the next step is interview so id just wait to hear about that.
