Rewriting the question: Is n(yoga) > n(strength training)?
(1) Not sufficient, because we dont know how many types of sessions there are, and how many people attend strength training sessions out of those
(2) This statement tells us that all those who attend yoga sessions also attend strength training sessions. So what we get here is the number of people who attend yoga sessions is definitely equal to or lesser than those who attend strength training sessions. We get a definite answer of NO to the given question. Hence (2) is sufficient.
Option B.

This can be solved using a 2 set matrix, where on rows you would have yoga/no yoga, and columns you can have strength/no strength

We have the find if number of members who attend yoga sessions > the number who attend strength training sessions

From (1) We are given the yoga attendees>=other session, but we don't know if this is equal. So, this can't answer.

From (2) We are given the yoga attendees >=strength. This also can't answer.

Combining both, we don't know if yoga is greater or equal. Hence, (E) is the correct choice.

Total gym members=180.Is yoga>strength training
A. Every member who attends yoga sessions also attends at least one other type of session.
-Not sure how many of them attend strength training, hence not sufficient
B.Every member who attends yoga sessions also attends strength training sessions.
- This means yoga is not more than strength training. Sufficient

There is a total of 180 members.
Q: Is yoga > strength?

(1) Every member who attends yoga sessions also attends at least one other type of session.
Not enough information as it only says yoga ppl attend at least another session(not even talking about strength sessions). BCE options remain.

(2) Every member who attends yoga sessions also attends strength training sessions.
This alone also not enough as it only helps understand that strength ppl are at least as many as yoga ppl. so yoga ppl could be equal or less than strength ppl. CE options remain.

1&2 together: Still not enough as 1 is too broad and does not help refine 2 further. So only option E remains.

The question needs to find whether members of yoga sessions are more than members of strength training sessions.

Statement 1
Every member who attends yoga sessions also attends at least one other type of session.

This doesn't clarify whether other type of session is Strength sessions or other as well. No clarity on no. of members for strength training sessions.

Hence statement is insufficient.

Statement 2
Every member who attends yoga sessions also attends strength training sessions.
It is clear that as many people does Yoga sessions also does Strength training sessions.

Clearly more members will be in Strength Training sessions.
So answer of the question is no the members of yoga sessions are more than members of strength training sessions.

Statement 2 is sufficient.

Correct answer is B.

Statement (1):
Every member who attends yoga sessions also attends at least one other type of session.

There could be many other session, so we cannot determine whether Y>S by this information.
Statement alone is insufficient.

Statement (2):
Every member who attends yoga sessions also attends strength training sessions.

This tells us that either Y=S or Y<S but Y>S is not possible.

So we are getting definite NO.

Statement (2) alone is sufficient.

Hence, (B) Statement (2) alone is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.

We are asked: is the number of members who attend yoga sessions greater than the number who attend strength training sessions?

Statement 1: Every member who attends yoga also attends at least one other type of session.
This tells us something about overlap, but not about how many attend yoga or strength training. So this does not help us compare the counts directly. Not sufficient.

Statement 2: Every member who attends yoga also attends strength training.
This means yoga attendees are a subset of strength training attendees. So the number of yoga attendees is less than or equal to the number of strength training attendees. So yoga cannot have more attendees than strength training. This answers the question: No. Sufficient.

Answer is B.

Qn asks whether Y>S?

I. Not Sufficient

II. Y is a subset of S. That is Y<S or Y=S. So Y cannot be greater than S.

Statement 1 - We are given that every member who attends yoga sessions also attends at least one other type of session. We can only deduce that the number of people attending just the yoga session is zero. We do not have information on strength training sessions or the number of people attending these other sessions.

Therefore, not sufficient.

Statement 2 - Again, we can deduce that number of people attending just the yoga session is zero. What if, the same was true for strength training sessions as well? In that case, the number would be equal. Without knowing anything about strength training sessions, we cannot deduce the answer.

Even combining both the statements, we still do not know anything about strength training sessions and cannot answer the question.

Therefore, Option E

Let Yoga MEMBERS be Y and MEMBERS IN Strength conditioning be S,

we ARE GIVEN MEMBERS IN gym=180
to FIND : Y>S

1) we do not which type of session- the no of SC ETC - SO NOT SUFFICEINT
2) Y=S
This seems sufficient as every person who attends yoga will attended S. However we do not know the divisor of the people as to who attends what in ratio/precent,etc- SO NOT SUFFIECIENT

combining 1 AND 2
we again don't have any concreate data to show- SO BOTH TOGETHER NOT SUFFIECIENT

therefore answer is E.

To determine: Is Y>S?

Statement 1: Every member who attends yoga sessions also attends at least one other type of session.
It tells us that no members attend only yoga sessions, but gives no information about strength training sessions. Not sufficient.

Statement 2: Every member who attends yoga sessions also attends strength training sessions.
This implies that all yoga session attendees are included in the strength training attendees.
So, Y<=S and therefore, it's not possible that Y>S.

Statement 2 alone is sufficient.

From the question stem, we know that there 180 members, and we need to find out if the number of members that attend yoga sessions is GREATER than the number who attend strength training sessions. we don't need to find the exact value, we just need a yes OR a no.

Statement 1: Every member who attends yoga sessions also attends at least one other type of session.

Two cases:

1) There can be 10 people that attend yoga (Y) but also kickboxing (KB) or strength training (ST), while 30 people overall attend ST.
Y < ST.

2)There could also be 20 people that attend Y but all 20 also attend KB, while 5 people attend ST only.
Now Y > ST.

The answer to the question stem can be yes and no. Insufficient.

Statement 2 : Every member who attends yoga sessions also attends strength training sessions.

With this statement, let's look at 2 cases:

1) 10 people that attend Y also attend ST, but ST has 20 people. Is Y greater than ST?
No.

2) 10 people that attend Y also attend ST, and ST only has 10 people. Is Y greater than ST?
No, it is equal.

There can't be a case where the number of Y is greater than ST, because all Y attend ST. Sufficient. Answer is B.

Option B is the correct answer.

So the question tells us that there are a total number of 180 gym members and asks us whether the member who attend yoga session are greater than member who attend strength session or not.

So the 1st Statement tells was the that the members who attend yoga session also attend atlest one other type of session. But it does not tells us that the other session that the yoga members attend are strength session or any other session, might be they attend yoga & gymnastics session or any other kind of session.

So clearly from this we cannot tell whether the number of member who attend yoga are greater than member who attend strength session.

Now lets look at 2nd Statement, it says that every member of who attends yoga session also attends strength session. Now this gives us sufficient information to answer the question because from here we can tell that the member who attend the yoga session will never be more than the members who attend strength session, they could be equal or less but will never be more than member of strength session.

Since the Q.S. gives the total number of gym members. Thus, we need to find out whether Y>G.
The Question does not anywhere state that Yoga and Strength training are the only types of sessions available.

Thus, we cannot say that y+g= definitively.

Statement 1 states that people who do yoga are engaged in at least 1 other session. Thus, members who do yoga could be 180 could be 110 could be 10.

Not Sufficient

Statement 2 states that members who attend yoga also attend strength training. Thus, we are faced with the same problem as no definite number can be taken.

Not sufficient

When taking Statement 1 and 2 together
Statement 1 implies that there are more than 2 sessions. Ths, not enough information to draw a conclusion.

Statement one does not tell anything about the strength training sessions.
Statement two , says that every member who attends yoga sessions also attends strength training sessions.
Hence we can say that the number of members who attend yoga sessions is not greater than the number who attend strength training sessions.

1) we don’t know whether the one other session is strength training or not Ns
2) yoga sessions attended will always be <= strength training sessions so it will never be greater
