Hi,

Your profile is strong, with excellent academics, a solid brand in Oracle, consistent performance, technical depth, and leadership demonstrated through your college festival achievements. The extracurriculars—especially sponsorship acquisition, managing large teams, and executing high-impact events—add meaningful differentiation.

For ISB, target a GMAT score of 675+ to be competitive, while 695+ would significantly strengthen your chances. Your application should focus on positioning your transition from core infrastructure engineering to technology strategy, AI, or product leadership. SPJIMR PGPM and IIMK PGP-BL are good backup options, but with a strong GMAT and well-crafted essays, you should be competitive for ISB in Round 1.

Happy to connect if you’d like to discuss your profile in more detail.

Hi,

You have a strong and well-rounded profile with solid academics, quality work experience, and meaningful ownership in large-scale digital transformation initiatives. Your progression, leadership without formal people management, and quantifiable business impact are definite strengths, while your extracurricular achievements add further depth. The key will be presenting a compelling career narrative that clearly connects your past experiences with your post-MBA goals.

I would recommend targeting a GMAT Focus score of 675+ to remain competitive for ISB. Also, try to strengthen your application by highlighting instances of cross-functional leadership, influence, and long-term career vision through your essays and recommendations.

First-level leave approvals.
Mentoring and technical development of team members.
Leading daily stand-up meetings for both the AIS and FWA teams.
Managing CR planning and delivery tracking.
Participating in solution discussions and coordinating implementation across multiple teams.
Planning deployment schedules and weekend support rosters.

Although my role is technology-focused, it has gradually evolved into delivery management and people leadership alongside technical ownership.

Awards & Recognition
Outstanding Performance Award for successfully delivering the CRM to Salesforce Integration initiative.
Outstanding Performance Award for the successful implementation of the GST Reform project.
Received the highest 5-Star Performance Rating for FY 2025–26 in recognition of consistent delivery, ownership, and contributions across strategic initiatives.

Why MBA?

Working on enterprise transformation programs, digital initiatives, regulatory projects, and cross-functional delivery has helped me realize that I enjoy solving business problems through technology rather than focusing only on software development. My short-term goal is to transition into Product Management, Technology Strategy, or Digital Transformation Consulting, where I can contribute to business decisions while leveraging my technology background. In the long term, I aspire to lead large-scale digital transformation initiatives and eventually build my own technology-driven business.

Feedback Requested

I would sincerely appreciate your views on:

How competitive is my profile for ISB PGP?
What do you see as my biggest strengths and weaknesses?
What GMAT Focus score should I realistically target to maximize my chances?
What improvements would you recommend before I submit my application?
