cyberc1,

did you interview already?

WP06 - How did your interview go?

It went well I think, I had it with rita edmunds. She was very nice but also professional. The other interviewers seemed to be more outgoing and "fun."

I think I did fairly well but only time will tell.

I had three questions:

1) When did you convince people from different view points to come together to achieve a goal?

2) When did you work with a team to solve a problem?

3)When did you overcome resistance to one of your ideas? How did you react and what was the outcome?

Of course there were some general sub-questions in there. My interview was approx. 40 minutes.

Good luck everyone, now the countdown to 31 JAN At least I have to prepare for another interview(Stern) to distract me a little.

Good luck everyone!

Haha, I was thinking the same thing -- man, the Sloan thread hasn't been bumped in a while. R1 applicants who have interviewed, if they're anything like me, are probably hunkering down and trying to mentally prepare for whatever gets thrown their way on 31-Jan.

For what it's worth, based on my current admits so far, I have decided to withdraw my application from Sloan and cancel my interview for later this week. I genuinely hope this opens up a slot for one of you deserving candidates.

Thank you everyone for your company on this ride and I wish you all the best!

I saw a lot of posts saying definitively that Sloan will release all R1 decisions on Jan 31--really?? What is the source of this news? Wouldn't the adcom people be calling admits thus I can't imagine they'd call everyone on Jan 31, right?

Anyway, not sure. Can't believe I have to wait until Jan 31!!! I had already braved myself to the thought that if I didn't hear before Jan 31, I could prepare for a rejection. Now I have nothing to mentally prepare for! lol. Anyway, last I had heard, it owuld be released throughout the month going through Jan 31 at the latest. JUst wondering what the source of this new info is!

Thanks!

Based on previous years threads, I think some lucky folks received calls over the weekend just prior to decision day, but I believe most decisions should be released on the 31st.

So you mean we'll find out the 31st by logging into the system and seeing some notification? Oh god, that sounds djust terrible.

I actually heard the admit calls will start going out on Sat, Jan 29th. Apparently this was said by one of the interviewers...which makes sense, because the decision notification last year was Monday, Feb 1 and a huge wave of calls were made Sat Jan 30 and Sun Jan 31 (the weekend before)

Thanks wp06.

About 90% chance I'll head to Stanford but will confirm after I know where my partner will be attending law school + attend the admit weekends.

I know one thing for sure that the adcom was in my country a couple of days a go, and I was not amongst the ones who got interviewed, neither was I the one to be dinged with those hate mails that they send you. Any thoughts on where my MIT application is heading?

Sounds like deferral to round 2, but I think it still might be too early to tell. I think I read somewhere on here that invites can go out almost all the way up to the decision deadline. Either way, it's better than a ding!

What's the timeline for round 2 interview invited? Does anyone know when they start trickling out?

Worried since MIT round 2 is A LOT harder than round 1. They get twice as many applicants, so my guess is the interview invite percentage will be around 12-15%.

does every applicant to Sloan here have got their GMAT officially reported? Do they require it before admit?

I just listed the score on the online app - did not officially report it
