Ding!

My Tuck interview was my best. Almost no hope for Kellogg and Booth now.

My biggest hope is now Cornell. Sincerely hoping for an offer from them.

got my ding. Am I correct in understanding that I won't get any feedback on my application if I wasn't waitlisted? Disappointing, I'm left wondering whether I'd have a chance next year or if I'm just spinning my wheels

There are really a few options here.
1. Some candidates (typically those with relatively fewer years of WE) are offered feedback in their ding. They can set up a call with admissions later
2. WL does not necessarily get feedback, but Tuck admissions is really warm n fuzzy and if you ask for it (in the Spring) they are somewhat likely to respond.
3. I know of at least one standard ding recipient who got personal feedback from Dawna this past spring. He's reapplying.

Thank you for the information. I guess i'll wait for the spring and give them a call

5 of my favorite tuckies are WLers. It happens. Hold tight! You're in better (comparative) shape because you were an EA waitlist.

@query007: Feel the same way as you do - Tuck was also my best interview. Didn't think the Kellogg and Duke interviews went as well, so don't have too much hope on those fronts. Now pondering what schools to target for R2.

good for you. I don't have the energy or enthusiasm to apply in Round 2. If I get a 6 school ding, that will be it for me with MBA plans.

Your GMAT score is very good. Hopefully you get into Kellogg. All the best!

Dinged, but offered feedback on my app. I'm 0 for 3 so far... This is getting old.

Wow man. You have a 770 GMAT and 3.92 GPA. Where's the hope for the rest of us if you were dinged!

Having high numbers as well (but not as high as LSnyder) and been rejected by 8 institutions in two admissions cycles (1 pending now), I'm all too familiar with this situation. GMAT/GPA aren't nearly as important as most of us probably think. I'm pretty sure that LSnyder and I both only benefited from our numbers in that they made us competitive enough to get to a runoff between essays. I'd think of numbers as being like the regular season for a sports team, and the essays being the playoffs.

Got the call Fri night Asia time- (based in HK)- bf got contacted at 4:45pm US EST even though he is based in Asia but he got $$ so maybe there were 2 different calling trees. So excited to be joining the community and to all of you who are WL, I have heard from current tuckies that every year there are definitely a handful of WLers so keep up the hope and enthusiasm. I know it is a draining process. Best of luck to everyone and fellow Tuckies I can't wait to meet you at ASW!!
