waitlist without interview happened to me when i applied to ucla in 2007..then they interviewed me 6 months later, and then dinged me... so talk about agony.

this is 4 years back - i dont know if they are still following the process

I come from South East Asia and have not yet received interview invitation. I strongly believe that my profile is strong and my essays as well as my recommendations are adequate since I was invited from all top 5 schools that I have submitted my application.
I don't think that they will send any more interviews since it is final time to judge R1 admittances. I just hope that because of the big number of applicants this year, Anderson will send me to the waitlist (to be interviewed together with R2 applicants).
Anyone share the same idea?

This is the first I'm hearing of this concept - waitlist without interview. Are you sure it's even a possibility?

I don't know about Anderson but i got waitlisted without interview at Stern.

The status on my application portal changed to "Admission decisions are released by the date shown on the schedule at ..." So i guess that's officially the end of the line for all R1 applicants who havent been invited to interview.

Is it just me for did anybody else get this message? Perhaps this is for all 2nd round applicants?

Adcom's blog says that they'll release all the remaining decisions on the morning of 25th.

Gosh darnit, I wish UCLA would stop playing with my heart strings!

My application status went from saying this:
"We reviewed your application with interest and would like to learn more with a personal interview. Please watch your email for our updates"

to this a few days ago:
"Your MBA application is being reviewed by our admissions committee and we will contact you if we have any questions"

to this today:
"Admission decisions are released by the date shown on the schedule at ...."

Interviewed mid-December. I'm trying not to read too much into all these status updates and to just wait patiently until Wednesday morning. Easier said than done!

My status changed from the "we would like to learn more about you through an interview" to the decision release link. I interviewed in middle of December. My interviewer was not that personable though...in fact he made sarcastic comments during the conversation...e.g "you are way too young to make those types of comments about other cultures" in response to an international experience question. Oh well, interviewed on a Saturday with an alum on campus and not heavily emotionally invested in the outcome.
