I think last year there was an early decision batch by 20 dic, is that correct? Does anybody know about this and whther this year will be another one?

Posted from my mobile device

Word on the street is that first round of admits goes out week of December 10th.

Which street is this coming off of? Sounds like you're picking it up from the rumor mill.

Alpaca - Its at the intersection of "you don't have to listen to me" and "we'll have to wait to find out anyways" .... Just sharing the info I have buddy.

UCLA Anderson will release some admits before the posted deadline for the 1st round.

Good luck folks.

Thank you for your insight!

Just as a pointer to applicants who are visiting business school classes, you SHOULD NOT look at your cell phone and not pay attention during the class regardless of how little interest you have about the subject matter.

Treat your official business school visit as an informal interview and whatever odd actions that you may do, the host student may communicate the oddity to the admissions committee.

Does UCLA Admission look at the last 2 years GPA for making their decisions, or do they look at the cumulative GPA? Please take in consideration a gap of a few years between completion of a Bachelors degree.

Hi,

I had 2 math subjects during 1st year of my engineering and my grades are not good.

Reason: Health issue and time spent on entrepreneur projects during first year. Later my grades improved but maths was not the part of curriculum thereafter.

I have read UCLA gives special preference for good quant ability. I do think my quant skills are good. May be they can check my replies on GC :)
Can the grades be compensated by Q50 of my gmat?
I have cleared 2 levels of mathematics Olympiad and I scored rank 9 in the whole north west region of India.
Later I appeared at India Level Mathematics Olympiad.

If still adcoms need some special quant proof I m ready to take quant classes but where I m based I don't think I can get quant classes that will really Help. Can the online course of quant compensate?

To me UCLA is a perfect fit and I do not want to leave any loop hole !!

Thanks for your time.

Q50 is awesome, gurpreet!! Be proud of your quant ability (or I will be for you... *shamelessly jealous of your quant score*) :-D

Thanks for the encouragement. I m quite confident about my quant skills but I was little concerned over the emphasis of anderson for the quant subjects of undergrad.

If you can get that kind of score on your GMAT, you can do just about any quant course from undergrad (or be capable of learning how to do it). Don't worry about that!

Had my interview this week. It went well, and I was pleased with how Anderson conducts its interviews. A little more brief than others, but still a good chat.
