i felt my interview could have been more effective if the interviewer took 5 mins to look at my resume rather than my handing him the resume and starting the interview immediately.

The questions could've have more depth, imo. But I think overall it was "okay" not too great and not too bad.

Interviewed at the end of Feb and haven't heard anything so expecting the worst. Unfortunate, my interviewer had personal things (too much on his/her plate) and didn't seem to want to be at the interview (more of a hassle). I didn't get a good impression but sometimes it's luck of the draw.

It just was unfortunate seeing as I had made the time/spent money to travel across the country for the interview.

Haha, don't say that I interviewed at the end of Jan and I'm still holding out hope  We'll see come 4/3

Has anyone from R3 received an interview invitation? I got an interview invitation from McCombs only 2 days after submitting my R4 app so I am worried my earlier applications have just been rejected off the bat.

Well the notification date for R2 is April 3. R2 interview invites started being sent out shortly before the R1 notification date, and have continued up through this week. Based on that info, I wouldn't start to worry if I was in your situation.

I am guessing that there are relatively few open spots for R3. I think the adcom may wait to see how their yield is looking, and which industries/roles need more representation - so I wouldn't be surprised if most R3 invites go out in the weeks following the R2 notification date.

This is speculation on my part, so take it as you will. Only time will tell!

Good luck

How are R1 waitlisters feeling for Wednesday? We thinking ding or staying on the waitlist? Figured we would've heard any good news by now.

It sounds like there are three possibilities for us poor waitlisters: (1) admitted, (2) dinged, (3) asked whether we want to remain on the waitlist for R3. Since R2 is the most competitive, I'm predicting a lot of #2...plus the odds of getting admitted in R3 are pretty slim, so a lot of people might decide not to hold on any longer. Fingers crossed though!

Any waitlisters already hear back?

I'm just looking forward to any sort of update after all this radio silence since my interview date so I'm feeling good about that.

On a related note, my ApplyYourself page has changed. The "Decision Available" text that appeared on the R1 decision date and link to the letter stating I've been placed on the Waitlist disappeared today... My application status of "Submitted" and recommenders are still displayed so I'm not sure if this is an indication of anything but this has been the only change to my online application in over 2 months (since the R1 decision date 1/23/13). Anyone else notice this?

The only waitlister to receive a decision that I've seen is one BTG member a few weeks ago.

I just checked my app and noticed the same thing. Maybe they are just resetting it for Wednesday. Or maybe we are all getting big fat acceptance letters!

Any R2 interviewed applicants waiting for the results anxiously?

I interviewed on March 19, which also happened to be the last admit wave I believe.

Has anyone who interviewed after March 15 received his/her decision already?

Hey Ankur,

I interviewed on 20th March and waiting.. I don't think anyone who interviewed later than March 15th has received an admit yet.. All the best!
