Is it appropriate to follow up? I have another acceptance offer I need to make a decision on in a little over a week..

Posted from my mobile device

Yes it is appropriate to follow up with Marshall and keeping them posted. I am sure it wouldn’t be any negative impact on the decision.

Good Luck !

Hmm...we had similar timelines. I can only presume I did not make it in. Anyhow, I have been looking at the total cost of attendance & it only made sense for me with a 30k or so scholarship. Did you get any scholarship money?

Don't count yourself out my friend, I'm rooting for you. No scholarship but I'm on a full company sponsorship(which they were aware of), so I assume they wouldn't allocate those funds to me

Thank you for the encouragement! I do get tuition reimbursement but only 9k a year until the full amount is paid off. I would have to carry the cost of the loans in the mean time.

Where you interviewed as well ? Apparently I have been told PM MBA admission process is slower then FT admissions.
Also commencement is around corner. Everyone are busy prepping for it. Hang in there !

I was interviewed on the 24th. Hopefully I get a scholarship. I reviewed the cost, & it is pretty substantial even with my company’s tuition reimbursement—it would be around 60k over the payback period to service the interest on the loan. I don’t think it would make sense for me without at least $30k in scholarship if not more. I’ve been accepted to MA in Econ programs in various local Universities, which I can complete debt free, but still contemplating my options.

Class of 2022 here. Started last fall. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but most if not all part time programs fund their respective full time program. From my year the most I saw anyone get was 10K total and a couple 5K if you applied in round 1. It is especially harder now given most top programs will use scholarship and throw it at full timers due to covid-19 really messing up the admissions statistics and yield. Just want to prepare you for what will likely to come.

Is it appropriate to follow up? I have another acceptance offer I need to make a decision on in a little over a week..

I currently have 2 offer letters from other MBA programs with decent scholarships (>=65%) and deadlines as soon as May 22nd.
I did my interview on May 5th but I'm yet to hear back. Who should I contact at USC admissions and should I email them my offer letters to "fast-track" the admission process?

Thanks

I think if you're in a situation where you may lose your spot with another school because of the wait, it would be appropriate to bring this up to Marshall to ask for guidance.

If there is anyone on the adcom you've spoken with previously, then.

If not, the admissions director (imo).

If they match or beat the scholarships, are they your first choice?

If they're not, then it doesn't really matter what they do.

Hi Frank12480,

Regenerate has touched on the bulk of what I would have suggested. Congratulations on your scholarships from the other programs! Unfortunately, I believe the greatest scholarship awarded, according to this forum, was $10k for Marshall. I would highly recommend you to decide if a potential $10k/no scholarship admit with USC would be a deal-breaker for you or not first. Then, I'd recommend reaching out to adcom in the next few days to inform them of your situation and to ask for guidance.

I was invited to an interview today by Nirav. A round 5 applicant here (submission date: 5/6).
