You can use console as a reward for reaching a meeting certain goals. You can use it as a motivator.

PS. I’m sure your phone is already quite a bit of a distraction so if you’re able to stay away from that, you should be fine to be trusted with more 👍

Hi Kreel1,

I think it is perfectly fine to get the console as long as you keep the boundaries you have already set. You have a solid study routine with mornings on weekdays and longer weekend sessions, so some downtime in the evenings will not hurt. In fact, having something fun to look forward to can help you recharge and avoid burnout. The key is to make sure gaming does not cut into your study hours. If you stick to your schedule, the console should not be a distraction and might even keep you fresher for your prep.

A few tips to make it safe:

Set strict limits: Stick to 1 hour on weekdays and maybe 2 hours on weekends.
Avoid late-night gaming that cuts into sleep.
Use gaming as a reward after completing your study goals, not as a procrastination tool.
