Hey!

I just graduated from undergrad a few weeks ago (tier 2 school) and am taking the test this month (hoping to lock down a 730).

I am entering a consulting firm in the fall and wanted to get the test done now in case I want to apply in a few years (company will pay)

Has anyone taken the test years early (college?) and then applied to MBA program later?

I would love to hear your story!

Go for it now. If it goes well. That'd be great.
If it didn't, then it will only motivate you to work hard enough to do well next time.

ooh ...That'd be great too ;)

I don't know anyone per se; however in one of the webinar, there's this one guy who aced GMAT right after his grad and then couple of years later , he got into Kellog or Cornell perhaps. Even though the sweet spot is 3-5 yrs of work exp.. 2 yrs is also fine for most top US bschools.

For UK , they skew more towards higher work ex . Good luck

Hi maggieapples,

I’ve personally worked with tons of students who have taken the GMAT either during their senior year of undergrad or right after. So, if you can lock in your 730 now, you’ll be sitting pretty when you plan to apply to schools within the next 5 years. I know I’ve responded to some other threads of yours, so if you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.

Good luck!

maggieapples,

As everyone before me said its a big advantage to get GMAT done as soon as possible.

The main reason to get GMAT early is with time the average percentile goes down , i have gone through post where Q49 was once more than 90th percentile and now its lesser than that.

The average GMAT percentile goes down with so many people starting to score more in GMAT.

In that perspective its better to do GMAT done early.

All the best for your exams.
