This is my first post but I looked at this site daily while preparing and it definitely helped me a lot, so I figured sharing my experience was the least I could do.

Manhattan Practice Tests
I basically followed the Magoosh 3 month advanced study plan to a tee. I only made it up to about week 7 though as that was the end of all the lessons and I wanted to take a stab at the online test while it was being offered (didn't really want to prepare for an essay). The only other prep I did was 4 of the Manhattan practice tests and several of the 700 level math questions here on GMATClub. My original in-person date is still scheduled for June 26th at the time of writing this but I booked a May 29th date to try the online test.
My goal was above a 700 and my scores on the practice tests were as follows:
680 (48Q 34V)
670 (45Q 36V)
710 (51Q 36V)
700 (46Q 40V)
Math has always come naturally to me but as you can see I struggled a lot with the verbal. I heard that the Manhattan tests were a little harder than the actual GMAT though so I felt good about it going in. I also spoke with some of my friends who had taken the GMAT before and scored well on the verbal, and I found that talking about it with them really helped.
I did no prep work the day before and I took off work early to decompress before the test. I ran the system test and everything went smoothly. I got a good night's sleep before test day and woke up at 7:30 that morning to get some exercise (the test was scheduled at 9:45).
This next part is a little embarrassing. I read on several sites that you should get some carbs and protein for breakfast to increase brain activity for the test. I usually have bagel every morning so the carbs were no issue. For protein I figured, I'd eat some bacon. I am in my mid 20s and I somehow have never made bacon before. It seemed simple enough and the bacon itself came out fine, but I did not realize how strong bacon smells after you make it. So for half of the test, my apartment reeked of bacon, which was a little distracting.
I logged on the test 30 minutes early as was suggested. Getting set up and everything went smoothly again. It was about 15 minutes before my test when I entered the waiting room, and it didn't even take a full minute for the proctor to show up. Once the proctor showed up, the test began, which alarmed me at first because it was still 15ish minutes til my scheduled time. I messaged the proctor who informed me it was ok to start, and that was the first and only time there was any communication with the proctor.
There was one question early on that tripped me up and I ended up spending about 5 minutes on it, but after that I was pleasantly surprised with quant. It felt much easier than the hard practice problems on Magoosh and Manhattan practice tests and I breezed through most of the questions, often having enough time to double check my answers. Math has always been my strong suit, and at the early stages of preparing for the test, I was doing the math in my head for the most part. Once I heard about the horror stories surrounding the online white board, I just kept practicing the quant problems in my head so on test day I ended up doing most of the math mentally. If a problem required more calculation, I would type out answers to the intermediate steps on the board to remember them, but I only needed to do this for 3 or 4 problems. I finished with about 7 minutes left.
I actually felt awful about this section and am shocked I did so well. In practice, my SC had not been great, and my CR and RC would vary depending on the day. Usually if it was a good day for them I would feel very confident in my answers and I did not at all on test day. The earlier problems felt challenging right off the bat, and knowing that it was important to do well on the first questions really stressed me out. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, around question 12 or 13, I was hit with 3 RC passages back to back to back, which I didn't even know was allowed. One of them was short but the other two were both long and as someone doesn't do much reading in his free time this really drained my mental energy. The last 15 or so problems I felt pretty good about, but I figured it was because I had gotten so many of the earlier questions wrong and the test was feeding me easy questions to compensate. In terms of pacing I spent a lot of time worrying about the first questions and I felt myself really pressured for time particularly towards the middle, but towards the end I picked up the pace and finished with about 3 minutes to spare.
I only took about a minute of the break to refill my water. I was pretty dismayed about the verbal and just wanted to get the rest of the test over with. IR was IR, it always felt the same on the practice tests in terms of difficulty and my scores ranged from 4-8.
I know it said 7 business days and I know it said you would received an email, but I would check my mba account 3 times a day, including the weekends, every day after the test (and admittedly twice the day of the test). I heard that some people got it within two days and was so anxious to receive my score. After a few days, I started to get worried that maybe the proctor had messaged me during the test about something and I missed the message, leading to my disqualification. This was just nonsense speculation but I really wanted my score.
I received my scores before I woke up the morning of the 7th business day. I was ecstatic.
Quantitative Section Score: 50
Quantitative Score Percentile: 85
Verbal Section Score: 47
Verbal Score Percentile: 99
Integrated Reasoning Section Score: 8
Integrated Reasoning Score Percentile: 92
Total Score: 770
Total Score Percentile: 99
Way better than I had done on any of the practice tests, and a perfect IR to boot. If I have any takeaways it would be don't let yourself get too stressed out mid test and I would definitely try to take the online test if you are thinking about it. Great experience overall!
