Hello Everyone,

I applied to both the USC MBA.PM and UCLA FEMBA programs (round 2, 2011). Had an interview at UCLA last week, and it went quite well. The interviewer was pretty cool. He made me want to attend UCLA even more.

Any round 2 applicants out there just waiting for the decision dates for either the USC MBA.PM or UCLA FEMBA program? The decision dates are not coming fast enough!! Right? The anticipation is quite... interesting. Hahaha :-)

Yep, I'm right there with you. Did you submit the video for USC? If so, what did you do? Which program do you prefer - USC or UCLA?

Cool. I'm not alone anymore. Hahaha. Yes, I did submit a video to USC. I just kept it simple. Talked a little about my backgrounds, passions and motivations. That's it. Which program do I prefer? For what I'm trying to accomplish, either one will do.

What about you? Did you submit a video to USC? How was your interview at UCLA? School preference?

For the video I just did a four minute version of 'walk me through your resume' and then finished it off with 'why USC'. All in one take. Probably had to re-do 10 different times to get it. Oh, and my video was 5 seconds over 4 minutes - hoping that's not an issue.

Interview at UCLA went pretty well. I would have answered 'what's your weakness' question differently if I could re-do it. I said my stubborness was my weakness which somehow led me down this path of not making it seem like I would take other people's perspectives into consideration. Which is totally not me! I tried to back my way out of it, but I don't think it came off too well. We'll see.

Really wondering when we'll hear back from either program. I'm leaning more towards UCLA, but I'd like to evaluate all options when I get them (assuming I end up with options). :)

I think that your video should be fine. In regards to the UCLA interview, I think that most, if not all, of us are probably wishing that we could have said and/or done something differently during the interview :)

I really hope that we hear back from the schools long before the R2 decision dates, which are April 30th (USC) and May 4th (UCLA).

hi all,

I applied to R2 ucla femba and R1 uci femba. agreed on the waiting process being nerve wracking so I'm doing my best to keep busy and not think about it. curious to know how soon before the may 4th decision date we may hear from ucla. good luck to all!

Hi acao :)

Just curious, unlike other schools, I thought that the UCI FEMBA AdCom gets back to the applicants in around two weeks or so.

I'm trying to do the same, as well. Keeping myself busy, so I don't think about the decision dates.

yep UCI is 2-3 weeks after app is complete. still waiting on recs but after that, it'll be 2-3 weeks.

their priority deadline was March 7th..so was trying to having timing to be similar to UCLAs..

My UCLA's online application status changed to "Your application is complete for committee review and will have a decision released by the publish date for your round." My USC MBA.PM online status remains the same.

Has anyone else status changed?

Yeah, I had an interview that day, too. My interview was pleasant. However, I concur that the interviews are difficult to read :)

Hello all. I am r 2 femba; My status is at "Your application is complete for committee review" too.

I understand the decisions will be out by the end of this month. Acceptances should start going out before that. Anyone with different information?

According to UCLA's websites, for R2, there are two decision dates (one for the regular MBA and the other for FEMBA). The decision date for the regular MBA R2 is March 30th (https://www.anderson.ucla.edu/x21329.xml), and the decision date for the FEMBA R2 is May 4th (https://www.anderson.ucla.edu/x19600.xml).

Oh how I wish the decision date for the UCLA FEMBA R2 is the earlier one :(
