profile evaluation

Question

I need advise /suggestions on a few things. Here on my profile.
Indain 
23 yrs 
10th - 91% 12th state board- 90% Graduation-BTech (mechanical engineering) - 9.4/10 GPA(3.78/4 i guess)
 Work Ex. 1 year .Working for a company(R.S.Associates) which provides engineering solutions and marketing services for OEMs in the OIL & GAS sector. I have worked as a project engineer for the past year and into my 2nd yr now.Moved onto procurement and marketing executive .The company though not large scale is having a niche market in India

Extra curricular-school,college and local league football player,event organizing
I plan to join an MBA program in the Aug 2014 intake.

From my mock tests assuming i get a score between 680-720 and applying in round 2, do you think I have a shot at columbia ,stern,johnson ,anderson or kelley??
DO you think I should try for higher ranked programs or stick on to my choices

i think you should work for at least one more year and apply at the earliest in Fall 2014 to matriculate in 2015. There is also a big difference between a 680 and a 720. Can you repost when you get your score?

Hi Linda, Sorry for the late reply.I gave the gmat twice and scored miserably in both attempts (590 & 620) :cry:

.I dont think i can do any better and so not giving the gmat again. so please advice me on the steps i shud take now and if i can even apply to any decent colleges. If u do think i can apply kindly name them

Really tensed . Do you think i stand a chance if i do apply to these colleges ie Krannert,Smeal,UT dallas,Rady,Owen,G washington,Broad.

Again, I think you would have a better shot at the schools you mention with an additional year of work experience. Dallas, Rady, Owen and Broad are probably stretch programs. You are somewhat more competitive at Krannert, Smeal and G. Washington.
