Hi there,

First of all congratulations for such a great GMAT score, 740 is definitely a very good score. Your academics and work experience are really impressive to get you admitted in your targeted B-Schools you have mentioned above. Since you have enough time to apply for 2016, I would suggest you to work on building up your profile. Finalise a list of safe and stretch B-Schools with help of professional consultants or yourself. Start making contacts with alumnus of your targeted B-Schools.

You may also gauge your chances of getting admission to top business school by trying this amazing tool https://bit.ly/1C9o2Md

Get your free profile evaluation done by the top Ivy league B-School grads during the webinar conducted by General Education. For registration and more details visit https://www.genedmba.com/webinars-seminars/

Hope this helps.

I would generally agree that with a 740 overall, you are all set... the scores actually aren't THAT un-balanced if you look at the actual scores (it's the percentiles that are so un-balanced... because GMAT test-takers do so well on quant, and quant percentiles have been increasing in recent years!). There are a few schools that sometimes seem extra focused on the quant score, such as Wharton & Haas, but again overall you've scored above their average score which is great and it makes sense to focus on other aspects of your profile and application at this point. Also if you have anywhere else you can point to to show quant and analytical skills, that helps too. Good luck !
