Hello... I would like advice on my ciurrent situation. Im aiming for a top 10 MBA, ideally Columbia/Tuck
1) 28yr Mexican/Spanish Dual citizen
2) Double degree from ITESM (BS Mechanical Engineering) Top mexico School and German University (BS Business Administration and Engineering)
89/100... gmat GPA was 3.9/4.00
Courses in Spanish English and German
3) Work Experience: ~3.5 years
6 Month Full time Internship in Daimler Procurement in Germany
4 Month Business COnsultant , Real estate proyect
2 years in Talent Development program by largest refrigerated food product company (Experience in Project Management, Operations..Maintenance/Security, Logistics)
10 Months as Head of Strategic Alliances with sucessful launch of 3 Product lines (1 International Brand, 1 National Brand, 1 Service product (locally sourced))
4 Months Head of Key account development (Project management for Product development, marketing, profitability, etc)
4)GMAT 640 ... Q45 V34 IR 7 AWA 4.5 ..... Looking to increase to at least 670, and AWA 5
5) Looking to change industry into private equity for emerging markets
It would be great to know your comments!

Thanks for sharing your profile. You have an interesting background with some nice performance in undergrad as a student. However, your GMAT is currently low for some of your target programs, the closer you can get to 700 on your next attempt the better you will be. Target schools aside you are also interested in PE. Industries like PE, Consulting, and IB typically scrutinize your GMAT more than other industries so keep this in mind. Admissions teams want to make sure if accepted they can properly position you to achieve your career goals and a 640 GMAT will be a tough sell for PE recruiters on-campus. You are targeting emerging markets and as an international students this does give you a leg up but understand recruiters will care about your GMAT score.

Hey thanks for the fast response. Im currently focusing on achieving a greater gmat score on my second attempt and obviously writing some pretty good essays.
Any other mba programs you would recommend? Assuming a higher gmat
