A few additional inputs for you blinxbuckles:
  1. The fact that you have a good professional arc is useful. It is even better that you are from a underrepresented demographic. Add to that your volunteer efforts and you can truly set yourself apart. Make sure all these factors come together to boost your chances
  2. I've seen cases with far lesser GMAT and with lesser academic accomplishments with your kind of background break into the top league. So definitely aim for good schools and yes, spread the net a bit wider just to be on the safer side.
  3. Your post-MBA plan is not mentioned here. That too will have a significant bearing on how things go. So hope you've thought that through well.
