Hello everyone,
Firstly, I would like to thank GMATClub for being of great support through my GMAT journey. It would be of great help if members of the forum could share their feedback on my candidature.
I am Indian Male candidate.
UG - Bachelor in Management Studies, I scored a 74% on avg. I've read on forums that this translates to a 4.0 GPA. (I guess I'm sorted on the GPA front then)
GMAT - 700 (Q47 V39)
Work Ex - I will have a total of 6 years of experience when I take admission.
Job 1 - an Account executive at a digital media agency (advertising)
Job 2 - Project manager at an E-Commerce Start-Up
Job 3 - Group Account Manager at a multinational advertising company
Job 4 - Senior Business Manager at an upcoming fin-tech start up
In my last 2 jobs I have had the opportunity to be a team leader. At job 3 I had 8 reportees, at my current place of work I have about 95 (call centre staff included).
In my current role I have been given the opportunity to lead a business vertical. I am responsible for sustainable growth and effective strategising. About 50% of my current organisations revenues can be attributed to my business vertical. The team has grown from 8 people to ~100 people under my supervision.
Apart from this, I have volunteer experience as a hospice volunteer and have also founded a pet-care NGO. I am a fitness enthusiast holding high level certifications in fitness training. I am also an experienced yoga and meditation coach.
I am confident that my recommendations will be highly positive as both my recommenders are well-aware of my dream of doing an MBA from a top b-school.
NOW - having established all of the above, I am facing a big challenge. I applied to LBS and Oxford and was bluntly rejected without an interview.
I am extremely keen on getting a degree from a Tier-1 school. I have patiently waited for over 4 years to improve my candidature with multiple GMAT attempts.
I want to understand which schools are best suited for me. A reality check of sorts.
I am going to apply to Judge, INSEAD, IMD, St. Gallen and NUS. Though I am very keen on applying to schools such as Kellogg (my number 1 preference) and Michigan Ross, I have been told by very many people that it's a futile effort.
I thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Your inputs would mean a lot to me.
