700+ literally means 710 - 800. So, I would concentrate on GMAT as of now and try to achieve the best possible score. Once, done..... I would then start to check out on programs.

I am a sophomore at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. I am currently a research consultant at worldquant and I’ll be appearing for CFA and FRM in the final year of my course. Assuming a GMAT>700. What are the chances I can get accepted at the ivy league or lbs taking my 7.5 gpa into consideration. And I want to get into b school right after my bachelors.

Hi sankalp24,

Thanks for writing in.

Schools evaluate profiles holistically and we will need more details on your academic and professional achievements, extra-curricular activities, as well as career goals in order to be able to evaluate your profile in greater detail.

We suggest that you focus on GMAT, get as high a score as you can and then focus on your essays work. A 710 will frankly be on the lower side and you must aim upwards of a 730 to have a decent chance (of course, this depends on a number of other factors, as well).

Hope this helps.

All the best!
