Hi PSU to Private,
I have been working as a manager in Canara Bank (public sector bank) and having experience of more than 8 years. I have already completed my MBA before joining the bank from a normal college and planning to do either full time MBA/executive MBA from top B schools like IIMs so that my growth would be multiplier as compared to others of same field. But i am in confusion as it is right decision or not for last couple of years. So please suggest me which way i should concentrate and explore the opportunities available thereafter? Moreover, coming to my academics i am having an average of 65% through out my education(10th, 12th,Bsc Chemistry, MBA) for your reference. So, please guide accordingly.
Hi,
Your career choice should not depend upon the degrees and marks you have have got in the past. It should depend upon what you want to do and why. And then you should consider 'how'. If your 'what' and 'why' are clear, you can achieve 'how' anyways. So coming specific to your dilemma, the answer lies in understanding you as a person, your past and your aspirations. Degrees and marks rarely define a person.
But for the information provided in the post, there are number of candidates who pursue MBA twice. And eight years of work experience is ideal for one year MBA from India at IIMA, IIMB, IIMC etc. So you will gain from the program, generally speaking. But it will require more information to really give a good advise.
