Hello.
I would be grateful if you could critique my profile for LBS, Oxford, INSEAD, Harvard and MIT. According to WAMC : Oxford is above average, MIT is average, Harvard/LBS below average, and INSEAD is very low.
Background and nationality : Indian - Female (Slightly overrepresented)
Undergrad Information : Silver medalist from one of the top private universities in India (Mechanical with specialization in Nuclear Science) GPA- 9.5/10 from SRM University
GMAT: 710 [ Q50, V36 & IR 5 ]
Work experience and leadership
Total of 7.5 years of work experience in the field of analytics. Working as a business development analyst at FAANG for ~3 years. My work has directly impacted >$100M worth revenue for the company. In total I have received ~40 awards for my work and collaborations, of these 3 have been global awards.
I work with the UK and Ireland business. I have worked onsite from London and Dublin for ~1month and attended conferences in the USA and Singapore.
Community and others
● Delivered a Guest Lecture to 125+ students at one of the top private MBA college in India
● Data Visualization faculty at the FAANG company I work for. There are only 14 Data Visualization faculties globally in the company
● Active LGBTQIA+ ERG member. Won third prize at national DEI hackathon
● Have led several NGO - FAANG collaborations and outside work NGO collaborations at local level impacting >1000 lives monthly
● Led culture pillar for the team at FAANG
● Similar NGO experience during college
Post MBA goals
Short term - Pivot to product management to understand what makes or breaks a product
Long term - Build products which cater to audience beyond the metros
Anything else?
First gen engineer. I have LORs from global Director and another from a celebrated HBS alumni.

dchaurasia1992, a few thoughts on your profile evaluation and plans:
Hope this sparks the right questions. Feel free to reach out directly for further discussion.
- The academic profile is unclear - tough to assess without the name and GPA. Do share that. The GMAT won't help you - one can usually add 20-30 points to a given school's average to get a sense of the Indian GMAT average. Any plans for a retake?
- The professional arc looks solid given the FAANG brand and your work in a non-technical area; do you have peers in similar roles who are already MBAs? You may be a tad bit of an outlier since the average experience is in the 4-5 years range at most schools.
- The ECs show promise, especially with the LGBTQIA+ and NGO work. Make sure to leverage these well as they matter in your applications.
- European schools value international experience. Anything here?

I do not plan to retake the test. I studied from SRM University, Chennai and scored a GPA of 3.8
I work with the business development team. Everyone in the team has an MBA (some from top colleges such as MIT, Harvard, INSEAD, etc)
As far as international experience is concerned, in my role at FAANG I report to UK and Ireland market. I have worked onsite from London + Dublin for a month before COVID. Additionally I have attended several conferences at the USA, Singapore, etc as a part of my job.
