my process of POE

A - Unable to figure out what is wrong/right.. hold on.

B - Rather/ But seems redundant.
C - not only.. no but also

D - Rather/But seems redundant
E - replace due to by 'caused by' the sentence turns awkward

Only A is left

I applied NOT x BUT y idiom.

A and D are the only better options. I chose A as a better option. IMO 'by means of' in option D is unnecessarily wordy and can be omitted.
But i would like to know on what basis others have ruled out all the options as incorrect/awkward. Just to be on the same page.
