The product of the five distinct integers a, b, c, d and e is 2310. If a > b > c > 3 and d > 1 and e > 1, what is the value of bc - 3a?

Hi,
Pl post the Q in Correct forum..
As for the Q..
Factorise 2310... 1*2*3*5*7*11=2310
Clearly a,b and c are 5,7,11...
bc-3a lowest value will be 5*7-3*11=35-33=2...
Now you can check other values but you have already got it..
Another way to straight hit the Correct answer is a,B,C are not multiple of 3 so bc-3a will not be multiple of 3..
bc is not multiple of 3 but 3a is multiple of 3..
And non multiple of 3- multiple of 3 is nonmultiple of 3..
Only 2 fits in

We're told that the product of 5 DISTINCT integers is 2310 and that A>B>C>3 and both D and E are greater than 1. This means that each of the 5 integers is UNIQUE and that NONE of them is actually 1. We can 'factor down' 2310 to find the 5 values...
2310 =
(231)(10) =
(3)(77)(2)(5) =
(3)(7)(11)(2)(5)
Here, we have 5 different values that we can properly assign to the five variables:
C = 5
B = 7
A = 11
D and E are either 2 or 3 (it doesn't really matter which is which, since the question doesn't require that information.
We're asked for the value of (B)(C) - 3A.... (7)(5) - 3(11) = 35 - 33 = 2
Final Answer:
