Revenue of apples = Misc Revenue = 3%

Revenue of apples to revenue of fruits and vegetables = 100*3/20 = 15%

IMO Option B

can you explain the answer ?
as to why we don't really need to calculate, the total (4000)
I am unable to understand the equation, even though, I have calculated the answer, with estimation

I was confused by this question as well at first because of the wording "what percent of the revenue from the sale of fruit and vegetables was accounted for by apples", but I think an easy way to tackle this problem is by substitution.

I used 100 for the total Revenue and then calculated the following:
    - 20% Fruit and Vegetables: 100*0.2 = 20
    - 3% Misc or Apples: 100*0.03 = 3

So now that we have our numbers it is a simple task of \(\frac{Apples}{Fruits} * 100\) to calculate the percentage of apples of the fruits. \(\frac{3}{20} * 100\) = 15%
