Check carefully the gap between 2 points is 2 units, thus y = 10 & x = 2
So, y - x = 10 - 2 = 8, ANswer must be (C)

Since tick marks are equally placed, the difference between any two tick marks in the given case= (12-0)/6=2
=> x=2 and y=10
So, y-x=8
Thus, the correct answer is option C.
