Solution: Let Sheila age be S
Leila age = S+2
Ted age = S+14

Leila's age is 52 years today.

We can solve this by creating 2 equations.

As of today:  
Let Sheila's age be x years.
Therefore, Leila's age = (x+2) years and
Ted's age = (x+14) years. Ted's age is (x+14) years because Ted is 12 years older than Leila.

20 Years later  
Sheila's age = (x+20) years
Ted's age = (x+34) years

We are given that, Ted's age will be 20% more than Sheila's age.

Therefore, the equation is:

(x+34) = 1.2 (x+20)
(x+34) = 1.2x +24
0.2x = 10
x = 50

Therefore, Sheila's age today is  50 years. 
Ted's age is  64 years. 
Leila's age is  52 years.

Answer: D

T= L+12
T= S+14
After 20 years Ted's age is 20% of Sheila's age.

T+20 = 1.2(S+20)
 
Note:Don't forget to add 20 to Sheila's age as well.

S = 50
Leila is 2 years older than Sheila .

According to question,
y = x + 12
=> x = y - 12
x = z + 2
Therefore, y - 12 = z + 2
=> y = z + 14 --------1

After 20 years,
 y + 20 = 1.2(z + 20) 
=> y + 20 = 1.2z + 24 
=> y = 1.2z + 4 --------2

Both equation 1 and 2 are equal to y, therefore
=> z + 14 = 1.2z + 4
=> 0.2z = 10
=> z = 50
Thus Leila' age is equal to x = z + 2 = 52
